BE THE CURE- A Vajor Initiative

charity event, vajor

Vajor has always had the vision to bring people on board who grow in and along with the organization. Driven by the mindful people of this community, Vajor curated an idea… The idea, that turned out to be a huge successful event for three consecutive days!

In coalescence with the non-governmental organization, Being the Cure, Vajor held a charity sale from the 6th to 8th of March, 2021. The purpose behind this charity sale event was to raise funds for the young minds and children associated with the NGO for their better and brighter future. The event took place in the heart of Delhi- DLF Avenue, Saket. It was a perfect weekend getaway to give oneself a break and enjoy an evening at the lushly, spacious and open locale.

‘Be The Cure’ was a platform for people with similar mindsets, who wanted to come forward and help in building a better community. It was an occasion where one could shop while contributing to a great cause. And not just that, one could indulge in soulful music as well as learn the art of macramé, all at once! There were performances lined up by our very talented and budding musicians, including Aamir Mehdi, The Forgotten Cure Band, Jazba-E-Junoon band, and Prem Mano; mind-bending storytelling and poetry sessions by Nitesh Rana, for all the three days.

Musical band, Jazba-E-Junoon stole the night by their euphonious performance.

Starting off the days from organizing the set up early in the morning, attending the contributors all evening, to wrapping up the day, the Vajor team brought nothing but enthusiasm to the table!

Team Vajor, all set and smiles before welcoming their audience.

People stepped up, came forward and did their bit to help. 460 people contributed towards the charity by buying Vajor’s products. From this collaboration, we will be able to change the lives of 50 young children! We raised a substantial amount of funds during the sale, approximately ₹5,00,000, all the proceedings from which went into the welfare trust of Being The Cure. And around 40 volunteers participated, including the artists, adding essence and meaning to our fundraiser.

Due to the CoVID-19 lockdown, Vajor’s brick-and-mortar stores got closed in the cities New Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai and Pune. Therefore, all the products from the stores were brought in and sold at affordable prices for the charity event. It was a sustainable way that matched our brand ethos and turned out to be an effective method to utilize our resources in the right way.

We thank the people and families who came and were a part of our worthy cause, and contributed to making the evening a memorable one.

We are going to conduct similar events in the future, you can connect with us on @vajorhumane @vajor to know more about it. Stay in touch with us if you want to be a part of our future.
